There's no place like home

Well my dear Melbournians ... I have some news. 

Yes I am moving home... back to Adelaide

There comes a time where friendships end and the friendship that I had in Melbourne did that infact. A friend that I had known for 10 years. Granted I did something wrong... but I know that I did ... there were reasons and I do believe you should NEVER live with friends if you want the friendship to last. 

Aside from that issue my mums health has become bad - it appears she either has Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis. I saw that she couldn't bend down to tie her shoe laces and my heart broke into 1 million pieces. I knew things weren't working for me here and I know that people could tell I was struggling so I made the decision to move back. I had to quit a fanatastic job I had but I have learnt so much in the short time that I have been here. I know that family always comes first and being honest and transparent sometimes is the only way with people. I know that I have to become a better person also and LOOK after my health. Vivienne is coming home with me! I thought I would have to give her away but I don't .... She is busy packing her toys too!

So a couple of weeks ago I did some flowers for a wedding in Adelaide. Have a looksy below. 

I will miss Melbourne .... But I know my heart belongs in Adelaide. I am driving back this Thursday.

Weight Loss ...

So I have gone to a naturopath in the hope to help me get healthier and also lose some weight. 

I have been on it for just under 2 weeks and today I went to go get weighed and I have lost nothing :( The week before that I lost 3 kilos and today I had stayed the same. 

I am to eat basically protein based foods with NO sugar and NO bad carbohydrates. 

There is a bit of dairy but I have been given a vegetarian option too. So I swap recipes around. 

I have to weigh everything. 

"The program costs about $120 a fortnight. In that you get 4 vitamin shakes a day (only 77 calories a shake), a recipe/rule book. You also have to purchase flaxseed oil, apple cider vinegar and ketosis sticks (approx $10 from the chemist for 100). You have to weigh everything that you eat. You get 4 protein serves a day, 4 shakes, 30ml of apple cider vinegar, two teaspoons of flaxseed oil a day & 20 grams of carbs a day. Every morning you have to pee on a ketosis stick and see if you have eaten the right thing."

I am doing Ultra lite - basically its small portions 5 times a day and its meant to train your body to eat. 

I do feel much better... I can say that I feel like I have more energy ... but the biggest thing is my moods and HOW calm I have been SO ODD. I do need to up my water and also sleep more. Maybe be more active too. My next weigh in is Tuesday the 16th and I am going to try and get the best result possible.

Has anyone ever done Ultra lite?

I did break the diet once :/ which I should have and I went to a resteraunt with my friend "Philhellene" which is in Moonee Ponds - Greek food. I think it was nice atmosphere...food was standard I guess? ... Has anyone been here before? 

Whats on for the weekend folks? I am going back to Adelaide next weekend to do some flowers :)

Blowdrys and Blogging

I will tell you what I have been doing... I have been changing my hair !

So I have been obsessed with going to a new place to get my hair done. Its called "The Blow Dry Bar" I went to one in Melbourne Central and another in Port Melbourne. If do go to the Port Melbourne one ask for Vanessa she is amazing! I love how quick it is .. they know how to do a fantastic blow dry and you are in and out within 30 minutes. Amazing I tell you ! They also do cut , colour , extensions - the works! They have a fresh professional approach and being a hair dressers daughter that has seen the industry for a over 25 years I can tell you these salons are pristine!

Going to tone the ends darker

For those of you who work around the Docklands - Get on down!

I decided that I am going to tone the ends down of my hair ... probably a dark blonde to tie in more.... it was fun being this light ... I am also going to add another set of tape extensions in to make it a touch thicker.

So I decided to brave the crowds this weekend and went and saw the new Highpoint Shopping Centre. WOWSERSSSSS its huge and they have so many shops.

Anyway I have been shopping at Sportsgirl and Dotti as usual and I picked up these little gems . There are a few things missing but I am sure I will update you all later on.

Oh I also picked up a Samantha Wills ring. Its actually more pretty in real life!


Now for the best thing last night we went to dinner for my flatmates birthday! We went to the most amazing Argentinian eatery last night called San Telmo IT WAS AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG

I went to the new Highpoint area the other day with my flatmate and I had the most AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG chilli hot chocolate. These will be a dream in the winter.

Taking things personal

Well today I wore an outfit by Big W  - I saw it in Cleo and then I went and bought the top and the jacket. Big mistake.

Everyone is giving me shit about it!

I have been called - Where's Wally , Pirate, my manager laughed at me when he saw me. I think he was being nice though. My flat mate called me a candy striper. How on earth!?

Anyway its Emerson from Big W and I thought it looked nice in the Cleo add and I think I was wrong ... OK maybe horizontal stripes are not a girls best friend. I also chopped my hair shorter.... I also miss my fringe. :( whinge whinge whinge - Top and Jacket both Big W , jeans are Cotton On.

So Marcus the delivery man has been texting me. I am not interested. I found this note on my desk yesterday when I got back from lunch - he came in to deliver a piece of glass that had broken in half. Yes its sweet - but no thank you. I have just stop texting him back now - he was messaging me message after message ...eeekkk . 

I really really want to track down a pair of Kim Kardahian's black aviators. I find that the gradient lenses make me dizzy and my eyes do better with a plain coloured lense. I have a feeling they are these

I have nothing planned this weekend. I really just want to relax. I need to also clean my room. I want to go to Ikea but that might have to be done after work one night as I can feel my body shutting down....

Dating / Number Game

So we have settled into the new office.
It's nice. There have been a few internal changes but I am okay with them.

SO ... last week I met ... well tried to meet up with a guy from a dating website. I got a text message.

" Cant make it sorry " and then I realised what he had done. He saw me from the window and changed his mind. YES . I was stood up.  NICE. So basically he saw me and didnt like me and stood me up. CHARMING. If you are reading this you are a gutless wonder.

ANYWAY just as I was typing this .. something else happened. We had some furniture delivered at work and I said oh sorry for being a pain blah blah to the delivery guy... and he is like oh if thats you being a pain we should date... I laughed and walked off..... then I got this message ............

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

He had my number from delivering the furniture. I dont know what to reply and no I didnt think he was my type... Flattering though?

In other news I haven't been back home since November last year and every time I want to go back to Adelaide the flights are stupidly expensive. Grrrrrrrr I need to go back soon. I think I am getting a little home sick.



I think I am going to hit up Richmond this weekend. I haven't been out in a while and it will be interesting to see what is out there. Not that I am looking for my husband but it would be interesting to have a banter with someone.

I will show you what outfit I am lusting for at the moment. From ASOS....

And of course the shoes are sold out..... they don't have my size. THANKS ASOS FOR NOTHING.

BUSY BUSY BUSY

So I have been so busy with my new job.

I told them I had MS today... I dont know if that was a good idea or not. But I wanted everything to be above board and for me not to hide anything. I just hope I dont lose my job over it. I just hope they think I am able to do things competently and not think that my illness will inhibit my job.

So I did baby shower flowers for Domestic Divinity and her gorgeous baby to me. She is glowing at the moment and I predict she will deliver soon!  The flowers were a mix of hydrangea, baby's breath, dahlias and roses. Gorgeous !! Thats Patrick in the backround. My fellow house mate!

I have been working such long hours - 14 - 11 hours a day. I am so tired I feel like I dont have a social life anymore.

 

The other night though I did go to MAMA and BABA - By George Colombaris . It was my second time there. Above this dish is called Gnudi and it was delicious. I suggest you hop down there asap and dine there!

 

 So this weekend we moved offices and I helped by putting together plants to give to people for their desks. I drove to Lara and picked up beautiful succulents and wrapped them up on the Saturday night. YES how amazing is my life.

I have my best friends bday coming up soon and I want to plean something for her. Do you guys have any ideas? I dont know what to do for it?

Oh and I am totally obsessed with this bag at the moment. I dont know whether I should take the plunge and buy it? Michael Kors $488.00

What has everyone been up too. I promise I will comment more and make more of an effort ! I have been so busy !
